Okay, new password issues resolved. skylords2.com and .net are already redirecting here - skylords.com should show up here soon. This should give you all the best shot at info I can give you :).

Regarding the server rack - still finger tight. Waiting on a monkey wrench. Regarding my nice new computer... Yeah, still on the floor. Will try sending in the processor now, but I'm not too happy about it :/. 6 gigs > 2 gigs :P. As well as all the money for the ram. Need to call newegg asap once I'm out of work in order to resolve this whole issue. Pray for me, those that pray. Pretty tired these days.

Thanks.

My new computer boots with reduced ram. Motherboard tech support says that this probably means that it's a processor failing... Yay. Out of 6 gigs, 1 stick of two can work. Joy. We'll see where this takes me next.

Server rack is constructed, but finger tight on the bolts. Perma-tired. 11:50.

Communication is problematic to get the GoDaddy password reset to fix the domain forwarding to here, so expect it to be a day or two more.

Okay, I know I posted October 27th, and it's long past that date now. Here's what's happening:

Thursday evening, November 6th, the internet people come and finally install a connection fast enough to run Skylords... problem - they should have been here almost 2 weeks ago. Problem 2 - I don't have a good enough computer to run Skylords on.

My equipment:
  • A non-working x2 6000+ w/6gb of ram and a GeForce 9800 GT
  • A Compaq Presario 6025RSH running barely at 1 gb of RAM (and that's another story by itself, believe me :P).
  • 2 Dell Poweredge 1U super-servers... running Windows... (Skylords was developed in a LAMP enviornment - while WAMP may be bad for future stability, it may well become a short-term option for now).
  • Other older computers.
So - the question I ask you then is (first - sorry I'm late! :[ ) - is it worth waiting for the second motherboard RMA (discovered tonight that I'll have to) - or should I just try to install SL in a somewhat insecure/unstable short-term hosting enviornment?

Let the players be the judge.
